"Super Healthy Monsters" presents an educationally-oriented program on the current needs of 3-to 6-year-olds. Given that Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the world's leading cause of death, Barrio Sésamo: Monstruos Supersanos provides direct messages about Heart Health, with multi-media activities to encourage young children and their caregivers to learn simple, fun ways to take care of their bodies and minds. In response to the high prevalence of overweight children and CVD risk-inducing lifestyle factors, including unhealthy dietary habits and tobacco use in Spain , particular emphasis is placed on children's physical well-being and the importance of eating well, exercising, modeling safe and healthy behaviors, and encouraging a balanced lifestyle.
